Though he described every thing, Hayagriva did not mention any thing about Lalitha Sahasranama for a long time. It is presented in the form of instructions imparted to the sage Agasthya by Hayagriva who is an incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu. Then he also took mantra from Amma.Īfter few days, one evening I got a call from him with the good news that his old company where worked for 28 yrs had called him that very day and offered him the job of GM(Sales)! Before coming to Amritapuri he contacted this company but they did not show much interest.Sri Lalitha Sahasranama is in the 36th chapter of Lalitopakyana in Brahmanda Purana. He had very good darshan of Amma for two days and Amma asked him to sit near him for some time. He started chanting 11 days before arriving in Amritapuri. I gave him a lot of encouragement and explained that it was not necessary to tell Amma about the job problem. He happened to read the article in Matruvani. All his attempts of getting another job failed. He was GM (Sales) of a pharma company, but suddenly he lost his job about a month ago.
Last January one gentleman aged 51 came to Amritapuri from Mumbai. At the same there will also be spiritual progress.”
“Whoever chants Lalita Sahasranama daily with faith and devotion, Devi takes care of all his/her material needs. Amma’s famous quotation on this is printed on the back cover of Lalita Sahasranama book. Somewhere in 2003 I wrote in an article published in Matruvani about Amma’s formula of daily chanting Sri Lalita Sahasranama (1000 names of Devi) with devotion and faith. And my problem of income was solved as I chanted Lalita daily.
When I met Amma in September 1996 I did not have any income for two years! I never told Amma about my problem, just came to receive Her blessings.
